9th Annual Midwest Mechanical Weed Control Field Day

September 16, 2026 | 12:00am - 12:00am | Michigan State University’s Southwest Michigan Research and Extension Center | $85

The 9th annual Midwest Mechanical Weed Control Field Day is coming to Michigan State University on Wednesday, September 16 at their Southwest Michigan Research and Extension Center in Benton Harbor.

We focus entirely on weed control - farmers of all scales and crop types will see hands-on demos of weeding tools. All scales are represented: from hand tools and walk-behind tractors for market gardeners and flower farmers on .25-5 acres; cultivating tractors for those on 5-100 acres; 3-point implements for row-crop farmers on 100-1,000 acres; and new this year is orchards/fruit demos. Farmers can see what’s now and next in weed management, including camera-guidance and autonomy. Manufacturers from around the country attend and give field demos of their machines and explain how to adjust them. Farmers from around the region appreciate meeting with manufacturers and ag suppliers at the morning trade show, learning from their peers at lunch and side conversations, and improving their weed management from the quality field demos. CCA credits will also be available.
